With OxygenOS 16 today teased on X, we are likely to see a raft of questions from community members new and old. “Will my device receive OxygenOS 16?”, “When will my device receive OxygenOS 16?”, “Why have some people received the update and I have not?”.
Similar to the thread last year, OxygenOS 15 (Android 15): Device list and rollout , I wanted to nip this in the bud (again) and provide another informative thread. The main purpose is to stop the misinformation being spread both in and out of the community. All information here is comprised of official OnePlus sources.
If you want to know which version of OxygenOS (Android) your device will be updated to, check out this thread: OxygenOS (Android): Device Update Eligibility

When will my device receive OxygenOS 16?
OnePlus have only just teased OxygenOS16 for a launch on 16 October 2025. Be aware though, launch does not mean a global rollout – just the launch. Perceive it as the beginning of the rollout.
It is likely that after the launch, rollout will be by region and by device model. History has shown that newer devices are likely to receive the update first. We can also expect that the Indian market variants will receive the update first amongst devices – the development and beta trials have focused on the Indian market, so this would not be a big stretch of an assumption.
There are three major varaints: Indian, UK/EU, North American - you will fall into one of these.
Update: Beta testing has started for selected devices / regions: OxygenOS 16 Open Beta Program
Update: Rollout plan has now been published
I hope this has been helpful :)
